Journal / 30 Reasons

30 designers, 30 posters, 30 reasons.

30 Reasons is an interesting project where 30 designers create a poster each, with one released per day from 5th October right up to the US elections on 4th November. The idea of each poster is to give viewers a reason to vote for Barack Obama.

The designer line-up looks great, so it’s well worth signing up to receive each poster by email, whatever your political ideas.

Please – can designers just get over themselves? Enough already with the “I’m going to change the world by designing a poster.” Can we come up with something meaningful that will make an impact beyond the self-important circle-jerk of the “design community”? Here’s a novel idea – how about people thinking for themselves instead of waiting breathlessly for some celebritard to tell them how to vote.
