I forgot to mention that a few days after I got my iPhone, I whipped up a super simple web app for it. I created it for myself primarily, but anyone who wants to use it is more than welcome. It may work well on other mobile browsers too, but I haven’t tested it and probably never will.
I present the Lothian Buses iPhone App. All this does is provide a simple, fast loading interface to navigate the timetable PDFs on the Lothian Buses website. It also has a handy link to the route map PDF.
When I designed the interface, I did read the Apple guidelines for iPhone web app design. I have largely stuck to them, but not completely as I only had about an hour to put it together.
I may enhance the interface at some point, to give it some more eye candy, especially if people start using it.
Please let me know if you are using this, and how you find it.
