Journal / Reducing “Signup Fatigue”

I was somehow randomly brought to a new (to me) site today, while following links across the interweb: Satisfaction. This service looks interesting, but it is not something I think I would use myself. However, something I loved about their signup page was this snippet:

Do you use any of the following services?
(flickr, technorati, upcoming, last.fm, twitter, cork’d icons)
Rather than creating yet another profile, why not start with one you already have?
Choose one of the following hCard supported profiles. Or choose other to add your own.

Having suffered my fair share of “Signup Fatigue” this was a welcome sign that a service understands that their (potential) users are sick and tired of signing up to every beta app that launches, and are much more likely to sign up to this one if most of the work is doen for them. Satisfaction indeed.
