When I restarted my Mac just now, I was asked to download and install a new beta version of AIR. Perhaps stupidly, I downloaded and installed the update without too much thought. The only AIR application I currently run is the Pownce client. However, when I tried to open that app after upgrading AIR, I received a rather helpful error message:
“This application requires a version of Adobe AIR which is no longer supported. Please contact the application author for an updated version.”
I visited the the Pownce site, where I could not find anything about a new version of AIR, even on their blog. I tried downloading the app again from the site and installing it, but I get the same error message.
So if you use the Pownce client, do not upgrade AIR just yet.
