At the end of last week I bit the bullet and purchased my badge for SXSW 2008. Prices were going up as of Saturday, and hotels were selling out fast, so I thought it was a good time to buy. I purchased a platinum badge, which allows entry to all Interactive, Film and Music events. Mainly I will attending the Interactive and Music portions, but I hope to have time to squeeze in a few film screenings while I am there. I attended the Music portion in 2007, which was incredible. It was truly unlike anything I had ever seen before, and I hope 2008 will be just as great. I will be attending the Interactive conference for the first time, and I am really looking forward to learning from–and socialising with–the best web people in the business. My friends will be arriving for Music, so I am all alone in Austin from Thursday night till at least Monday, and I don’t (think) I know anyone who will be there. Anyone else who is going and wants to take pity on a poor soul, drop me a line.
